Our question this week was:
Hey if your cat is sometimes wild in the house how do you stop it?
Hi - thanks for your email. Ha! I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "wild in the house" but I'm guessing you mean time when your cats just sort of… goes nuts. Runs around like something is chasing him or her?
And you want to know how to stop it? Good luck! Okay… I'm sort of joking but cats do have a mind of their own.
One thing you can try is to create some isolated play times when you interact with your cat. Figure out what your cats play preference is and pick toys that stimulate him or her the most. Play for a while every day if possible.
For some tips on choosing the right toy for your cat, read "Selecting the Right Toys for Your Cats Play Preference". An article that might be helpful to you is on our is When Your Cat Gets the "Midnight Crazies". This article addresses the "wild" issue and has some other suggestions for dealing with your kitties "wild" side.
Best of luck!
