Cat in a cardboard box

Cat in a cardboard box

Cat in a cardboard box, I'm in the living room, which is my favorite spot to be. I curl up next to the TV, under the blanket, and eat the dinner my sister brought me: a nice big plate of chicken and mashed potatoes, a glass of milk, and a small piece of chocolate cake. I am content. All of my needs are met.

As I lie there in front of the TV, I feel something. I feel warm. Like something is coming, I have no idea what it is. But I'm aware of it.

My eyes slowly focus on the top of the coffee table. And I feel like I'm getting pulled toward the table. Like there is something drawing me to it. My body and mind try to struggle, but it's futile. I'm being drawn to the table. I don't want to go to the table. It's not a good place. But I can't stop myself. My feet move. My head moves. It's not conscious. I'm in a trance. I go to the table. I put my paws on it. I see something. Something shiny. There's a cat, something shiny. I look up. I'm looking at a mirror. My reflection.

My paws are on a mirror, I'm seeing myself. I'm the cat I am now. But I don't feel the same. This is not my house. This is not my life.

The cat turns, and there is something behind her. She turns agn, and there is something in front of her. I can't see who or what, but I can see it. It's a boy. And he's walking toward me. I want to run to him, but I'm still. My paws move, the cat moves. I want to run, to run to this boy. But I'm tied to this body. I'm scared. But I can't fight it anymore. I can't resist. I can't resist this boy. The cat and the boy approach each other, and I see the cat's reflection. It's a cat's reflection.

They're getting closer and closer. The boy sees me. I want to run to him. I want to run and run. But I don't. I can't run to him. I'm still tied to the body. I can't resist. I have to go to this boy. But I want to run to the boy. I want to run, but I can't. I can't run, I can't resist. I'm stuck to this body. I'm stuck to this house. I'm stuck to this life. I'm stuck.

I'm stuck, stuck, stuck.

The cat and the boy. It's them.
