What to feed a dog with giardia infection
Dogs are prone to giardiasis. This disease causes many intestinal problems and is often treated by veterinarians with medications. Some dogs are very sensitive to medication. Some dogs may need different medication if they already have giardia or if they are not responsive to medication. If your dog is on medication and has not responded, or if you are not sure what to feed, I suggest that you contact your veterinarian for more information on what to feed a dog with giardia infection.
Some veterinarians recommend feeding the dog with giardia diet or giardia-safe food. I am not a fan of this type of diet, mnly because I have seen too many dogs that have gone into shock and died on these diets. A giardia-safe diet should be a part of the plan. Here is what you need to do.
First, find out if your dog has giardia. If your veterinarian is not sure if your dog has the disease, or if the dog is old and the veterinarian is not sure if he or she has been tested for giardia, I suggest that you have your dog tested by your veterinarian.
What is the test for giardia? You can find information about this test at the American Animal Hospital Association Web site.
Second, you need to make sure that you have a giardia-safe diet. In the United States, we use the brand "Eukanuba." I don't think that there are many giardia-safe diets that are currently avlable. When I used to get my dog tested for giardia, we had Eukanuba avlable for testing.
For this diet, your veterinarian can order Eukanuba for your dog. If your dog is not eating Eukanuba, I suggest that you try to find a giardia-safe diet that has some of the same ingredients as Eukanuba.
The next step is to mix the diet. For this I would use the Eukanuba that you got from your veterinarian. Mixing this food with other food will not work well.
I have heard about a couple of products that can be mixed in with the giardia-safe diet. These products are Eukanuba with some other ingredients added. This is a way to mix Eukanuba with a different type of food, but this does not have the same ingredients as the original Eukanuba diet. Some people recommend that you mix Eukanuba with some other giardia-safe food. I am not a fan of this either.
Dogs that have been treated with medication need to be on a restricted diet. It is important to start feeding a giardia-safe diet from the beginning. This will prevent any problems that may occur with the medication. If you start feeding a restricted diet after starting the medication, it may be hard to continue on the medication.
I have heard of a couple of medications that work with Eukanuba. Some people recommend that you use some medications that have an anti-inflammatory agent.
I will be testing one of these products soon, but I don't recommend that you use it right away. I know that a lot of the Eukanuba that we have at the clinic is very old, and it will take a while to test and make new. If you are trying a new diet, I recommend that you start slowly.
I am going to be taking some time off from this blog, and I will also be taking some time to work on my book. I will still be working with the pets in our clinic, but I am not going to be able to write about what happens there.
If you have any questions about this, or if you would like to share some tips, please feel free to eml me at [email protected] I will continue to update this blog, and I will try to get some articles from my book soon.

i don't know about your dog but my dog gets really sick on a giardia diet that i fed him for several months. My dog went into shock and was given fluids, but it took 2 days for him to finally wake up. He was very sick. I have not had giardia since he got out of the hospital and have not fed him a giardia diet. He is doing ok right now, but i don't think that i will ever feed him a giardia diet agn.
