Chicago Dogs Recipe

Ingredients

3lb Beef Back Ribs

3lb Pork Back Ribs

2 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour

2 Tbsp. Salt

1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder

1 Tbsp. Onion Powder

2 Tbsp. Paprika

1 Tbsp. Ground Black Pepper

1 tsp. Dried Oregano

1 tsp. Dried Thyme

1 tsp. Dried Rosemary

1 tsp. Dry Mustard

2 Tbsp. Ketchup

1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

2 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard

½ tsp. Liquid Smoke

½ tsp. Onion Powder

½ tsp. Paprika

½ tsp. Ground Black Pepper

1 egg, beaten

¼ cup water

Hot dogs (about 5 of them)

Directions

1. Mix all spices together in a small bowl.

2. Wash and dry your beef and pork rib meat.

3. Put ribs in a bowl or ziploc bag and mix in spices.

4. Place in fridge for at least 3-4 hours.

5. Take your rib meat out and pat dry.

6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

7. Heat oil in an oven safe skillet over medium heat.

8. Take about 1/3 cup of the seasoned ribs and put them into skillet.

9. Brown the ribs on both sides, about 4-5 minutes on each side.

10. After the rib meat is browned on both sides, put in oven for 3-4 minutes.

11. Take out of oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes.

12. While your meat is resting, make the sauce by combining the rest of the spices in a small bowl.

13. In a separate bowl, combine the beaten egg and water.

14. Combine egg mixture into sauce.

15. Combine mustard and liquid smoke in a separate bowl.

16. Take your meat and cut into 1/2-inch slices.

17. Brush the seasoned meat slices on both sides with the mustard/liquid smoke mixture.

18. Put into the same skillet you used to brown the ribs.

19. Cook on both sides about 4-5 minutes on each side.

20. Remove from skillet and put onto a greased baking sheet.

21. Place baking sheet in oven and cook for another 4-5 minutes.

22. Take out of oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes.

23. Slice into dogs and serve on hamburger buns with chips and your favorite dip.
